Where Photography becomes a painting
My mixed-media paintings begin with a photograph.
I edit an print the image onto canvas, then use professional grade oil paint to transform the photograph into an expressive painting. Parts of the original image remain visible while layers of paint, brushwork ad color create something entirely new.
The result is a meeting of photography and painting- a story captured in an image and then reimagined through paint.
