As we say goodbye to 2020, I'm reflecting on the pieces I completed this year. So many things were canceled and so little of the work I did complete was seen. As I personally strived to keep myself in faith, I longed for these "2020" pieces to portray that same hope that I was seeing. As I forced myself to continue to believe the best and look for the good, I wanted this message to reflect in my art: There is always hope in dark times so we must look for the light.
"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost" Romans 15:13 KJV
Isolated but not Alone Series: "Sunshine in Burano"
My 2020 has ended with some great news! I have received a grant from the Iowa Arts Council! The Grant was provided through the Iowa Arts & Culture Recovery Program, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs. Despite the lack of shows, I am able to continue to produce art! I am extremely grateful and looking forward to a great 2021!
