I find I need to go back to basics continually. I ask myself, what really matters, what do I need to fight for?
Foundation is what makes us stand strong through storms. Jesus defined a strong foundation as someone who comes to Him, hears His sayings and does them. That person is like a wise man who builds his house upon a rock. The storms of life cannot destroy a house built on this kind of foundation. In the same way, our foundation stays strong as we remember truth, not what we feel, not the storm around us, but when we remember the God of Hope, the rock of our salvation, that anchors our soul.
